Principal's Corner

I taught Eighth Grade Social Studies at Springville Middle School for fourteen years.  I served as the Scholars' Bowl Sponsor for six years and the Lead Teacher for the Eighth Grade Level for the last three years of my tenure there.  I became the Assistant Principal at Ashville High School in 2021.  After three years of working at Ashville High School, I became the Principal of Ragland High School in 2024.  As an administrator, I strive to make our school a place where students can work and gain the skills to be successful in school and life.  We are setting higher standards for our students and staff.  It is my desire that all of our students graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to have success in the real world.  I also encourage and assist our staff as they serve our students.  Every student and staff member can make a difference in our community and beyond.

I am blessed with an amazingly supportive family.  Beyond my career in education, I have a background in construction, ministry, and music.  Growing up in a rural community, I enjoy hunting and fishing.  As an alumnus of the University of Alabama, I am a fan of the Crimson Tide.  During the school year, you will find me at many of the sporting events at Ragland High School.  It is an honor to serve the community of Ragland.
